How close is Performance Sports to the slopes?
We are located right in the heart of Lionshead Village, steps from the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Chair 8. Our convenient location is of the many perks to renting at Performance Sports.
Where can I store my street shoes during the day? What about my skis and boots at night?
We have benches for rental customers to store their street shoes during the day. When you're finished on the slopes, we will gladly store your skis and poles overnight. Due to space limitations (and our awesome clothing selection), we require that all customers take their ski boots with them every night.
I have my own boots. Can I just rent skis?
Of course! You can rent skis only at any of rental package levels. Many of our customers have their own boots. Owning your own ski boots is a great investment.
Can I rent boots without skis?
Sorry, this is not an option. It is most likey that your ski bindings will not work with rental boots. Use this trip as an opportunity to try the latest in ski technology.
Can I choose a particular demo ski to try?
We have a variety of demo skis, but cannot guarantee that a specific model and size will be available at all times. If you would like to request a certain ski, please give us a call. We will note your top three choices and do our best to get you what you want.
Do you rent ski clothing?
No we don't, but we have an incredible retail selection of outerwear, baselayers, and accessories for both men and women. We have everything you need for a comfortable day on Vail Mountain and beyond. Our outerwear brands include: Obermeyer, Descente, rh+, Nils, Spyder, Sunice, Armada, Karbon, and Fera. We also carry layering pieces from Kari Traa, Smartwool, and HotChillys. Plus, if you forget your gloves or goggles, or need another neck gaitor, we have you covered with selections from Hestra, Swany, Gordini, Smith, Giro, Turtle Fur, and Blackstrap. When you see the size of our little store, you too will say we are stuffed with the best stuff!
